THINGAMAGIG is a yearly day festival held in The White Hart Pub car park in Billericay. Thingamagig 2011 takes place on Saturday 23rd July.
The whole thing is put on by BIG STINKY DOG PROMOTIONS, run by the hilariously nicknamed Big Pete (Pete Shelly) and Little Pete (Pete Baker).
This year’s lineup features bands we’ve previously featured on the Southend Who? site, including THE POWER OF VOODOO, STEALING SIGNS and DEFERRED SUCESS, as well as many other big hitters like ED ROME, TALLOWAH AND ORIGAMI NOISE.
13 acts across 2 stages from 1pm, and only £6 entry. The first 100 through the door will get a free compilation CD of many of the acts on the bill. All proceeds will be donated to Little Havens Children’s Hospice and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
This is the epitome of great promoting. Big Stinky Dog are not about profits here; this festival will celebrate what’s great about music in the south east, as well as generating lots of money for good causes. Bravo!
